If you’re out looking for plants this weekend, you may notice the Chaenomeles blossoming. Its flowers look great on the leafless stems. This photo is of a pure white variety called ‘Nivalis’. Chaenomeles will even thrive on a sunless wall, and add early spring cheer to your garden. A beautiful plant, spiny and will produce the fruit quince.
