We love plants! They are, after all, what brings a garden to life.

Inspiration

Whatever your garden’s style, your maintenance restrictions and your budget, C.A.R. Gardens can suggest, source and install suitable plants for you. From mature screening trees and specimen shrubs, to climbers, perennials, herbs, grasses, ferns, bamboos, roses, hedging and native selections, right down to the ground-covers and bulbs.

We can carefully assess your garden’s aspect and soil conditions and prepare professional planting plans. Together we can complement your existing space… or create a whole new design.

If you already have good specimens that are not quite working for you where they are, we can advise on carefully relocating them.

Plant quality

We source the highest quality plants from a selection of our favourite trade growers both on the island and from overseas.

We install them following the best organic principles. Wherever possible, and if necessary we use veganic and organic feeds, stimulants, mycorrhizal fungi, and peat free composts during installations. We can recommend suitable companion planting to help keep the new look naturally healthy, and we enjoy combining natives with exotics.

Fruit and vegetables

Many of our customers are interested in ‘growing their own’.

We encourage fruit and vegetable planting wherever possible – it’s healthy and rewarding, and we think it is particularly important for children to be involved in.

We avoid all use of potentially harmful chemicals – the edibles in our care are truly organic.

We did have our own allotment, which we all tended to, and learnt from, and won a local award for.

Lawns

Lawns are not forgotten either; we supply and lay local hard wearing turves or we can seed to your requirements from traditional lawns to wild meadow mixes.

Commercial and business to business

We are proud to have worked with landowners, schools, holiday parks, architects, landlords and the N.H.S.

We believe we can enhance the visitors experience to the ‘Gardening Isle’, and improve the quality of life for the Islands residents, all through exciting, sustainable and well considered planting.
